6000 Riviera Motor Yachts
Riviera sets sail into history with their 6000th Motor Yacht
In a sea of achievements, Riviera Yachts has yet another proud achievement in the luxury marine industry – the launch of their 6.000th motor yacht. The iconic Australian brand celebrated this launch at its state-of-the-art production facility located at Queensland’s scenic Gold Coast.
Riviera’s Client Loyalty
The vessel that marked this historic event wasn’t just any motor yacht; it was an Iridium silver-hulled 5400 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition. This yacht is set to chart waters under the ownership of Peter and Denise Haig, esteemed members of the Riviera family from Sydney. The Haigs have been loyal to Riviera for over three decades. In 1988 they purchased their first 38 Open Flybridge, and since then they have purchased ten Riviera yachts!
Owners’ testimonial
Amidst the event’s excitement, Peter Haig took center stage before the Riviera team. With pride, he recounted over thirty-six years of exhilarating cruises aboard Rivieras, igniting a wave of enthusiasm among attendees. He mentioned he highly appreciates the evolution of the design and the innovations he witnessed firsthand. Moreover, he thanked Riviera for keeping its unique identity as an Australian brand through the years. Highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship delivered by local professionals, Mr. Haig expressed his appreciation for the team’s commitment to excellence.

- 16.8-hectare manufacturing facility at Coomera officially opened in 2000

These numbers are certainly impressive, but this milestone launch was not just about marking the numbers. Above all, this was a significant moment that underscores Riviera’s true passion for quality and innovation. Rodney Longhurst, the owner of Riviera Australia, echoed Haig’s sentiments. Longhurst highlighted how this achievement was a testament to Riviera’s dedication to creating luxury yachting masterpieces that are admired and esteemed globally. He passionately talked about the brand, and their yachts: “To be successful on the highly competitive global stage of luxury boat building, you must have an absolute commitment to design, quality, and owner care. I couldn’t be more proud of our team, and I am grateful to all the Riviera owners around the world who not only enjoy our yachts themselves, but share this wonderful experience with their family and friends.“
